Broadcast television reached its zenith with the sit-com Seinfeld. Since then, broadcast television has little if anything to recommend for itself, and humor is disappearing from our television sets to be replaced by yelling, schadenfreude, and an irony leftover from the 1990s.
But we're happy to report the effects of Seinfeld live on, this time in the real world. No, not reality TV. The infamous (and, according to Kramer, misunderstood artist) "Soup Nazi" is opening a chain of restaurants. They hope to have over 1000 franchises across the country.
Let's hope he's successful. And let's hope they don't say to me, "No soup for you!"
Update! (5/1/05) Apparently The Simon Weisenthal Center may have other plans.
