Danger is “elevated”

Citizens Against Government Waste has a familiar-looking-but-handy reference chart on their site indicating the threat level for more spending.

CAGW urges Congress to embrace the President's cuts or propose its own cuts to reduce the deficit. Unfortunately, the President's budget still grows the overall size, scope, and cost of government. Many of his cuts are counter-balanced by requests for more funding in new or existing programs.

For the record, as fun as bashing “Pork spending” is, look before you cite. In 1992, I managed a congressional race for a candidate who kept saying “Grace Report” with an almost religious fervor. Ummm, there was one little item about federal funds for moving a freeway to accommodate building a new baseball park in Milwaukee…
