Not exactly Firing Line, is it?

WISN has decided to dump Glenn Beck and move Weber and Dolan into his time slot. That it took WISN so long to dump the syndicated Beck is the news. Tim Cuprisin, who once filled in on the morning progam for either Weber or Dolan (I forget which) had this observation:
...Dolan and Weber's show, which focuses on lifestyle and pop culture, will provide counter-programming to Milwaukee's other midday AM radio talk show, Charlie Sykes on WTMJ-AM (620). It will be vital that the show maintains that less wonky format to provide an alternative to Sykes' style.
"...Maintains that less wonky format"? I like Weber and Dolan, but expecting erudite political commentary from this pair is like expecting WISN Program Director and occasional fill-in Jerry Bott to tell a short story with a point. Both are capable of it occasionally, but Dolan is still continuing the character he was as a WTMJ sportscaster and Weber is basically an overgrown adolescent. That's why we like them, but they are what they are.

Of course, the downside of the programming change is WISN must fill that morning hole. Please, please, please tell me Jerry Bott will not be filling in. I may drive off the road sound asleep if he takes over, even temporarily.
