What a dope

Having dealt with newspaper reporters in my somewhat interesting past, maybe I'm a little more cautious in talking to reporters than most people. However, how stupid would someone have to be to admit they're violating state and federal law in a shameless effort to promote a part-time seasonal business?

The Waukesha Freeman Weekend Life front page on Saturday ran an article featuring Michael Leist, propreitor of something called Casino Party Specialists.
Leist plays poker online about 25 hours a week. He said he plays 150 to 200 hands an hour, which is about six times what a person would see in person.
According to the article, estimates he makes $30/hour and calls himself a "semi-professional."

Last I checked, Wisconsin is actually one of the few states that prosecutes online bettors as well as casinos. Why doesn't he just say he also looks at child porn? Doesn't he think our DA Paul Bucher reads the paper? You remember Bucher, the ambitious guy running for state attorney general?

And if you're going to be stupid in an effort to draw more people to your websites, the least you should do is update it to 2005.
