Scott Walker declares for Governor today. He has a real chance to win and has a great issue: taxes. It will be a tough primary against Congressman Mark Green who is expected to run and will be another outstanding candidate.
Paul Bucher is expected (as discussed on Belling & Company) to announce tomorrow he is running for State Attorney General. In the primary Bucher will face J.B. Van Hollen, the U.S. attorney for the western district, and possibly state representative Mark Gundrum. Go Mark! Despite Democrat protests to the contrtary, the republicans have an excellent chance of bumping of Peg Lautenschlager.
These are tough primaries which are evidence the Republican bench strength is growing. Democrats will face tougher and tougher elections state wide, and Republicans may be able to move Wisconsin and Minnesota into the Republican column for the next presidential elections provided in both states they do not drop the issue of taxes. Taxes will be the key.
