Still in shock

My wife, whom I love, bought me a ticket to last Sunday's game. I thought if the Cowboys would lose it would be because we have no run offense and would not be able to keep control of the ball in the second half when it counted. Turns out, we have no run offense. We have no run defense. We have no pass defense. We have no special teams. We have no kick coverage. We have no kick return. I can't comment on the punt return team because I only saw them once (this against a team that has two punters).

"Did you have a good time?" Well, yes, I went to BW3 before the game, I went to Hooters after the game. I drank beer. I briefly recalling cheering a field goal and joking with some Packer fans who took pity on us. I didn't get into any fights and I even turned down an invitation to celebrate the Packer victory saying I had a flight to catch (not one Packer fan could understand I was from Waukesha WI and not Mission, TX).

It was a brutally damn ugly game, and unnecessarily so. Green Bay's defense is so depleted in the secondary Vinnie should've had 400 yards passing. When Grady Jackson said he was ready to go for the Packers the Cowboys should have adjusted and went to the passing attack early. Hit 'em where they ain't. There weren't many dropped balls but the passing was only done when it was 3rd down, often 3rd and 15. It looked like Les Steckel (Packer fans will get this reference) was calling the plays. Meanwhile, where is our #1 defense? Who were those guys playing yesterday? And if you thought Dallas special teams were a problem before under the previous regime... Oy vey.

Finally, I can't understand Packer fans this year. I expected some trash talk before the game. Nope. Not at the office, not from friends, not walking through the parking lot, nothing. After the game I heard a little but not nearly as much as I've heard in the past. Nothing again on Monday. Are Packer fans completely demoralized this year?
