Mathias declares for school board, incriminating blog posts to follow

Mike Mathias, sometime liberal blogger and friend of this blog, is running for school board against Charlene Hardin in Milwaukee.
Three candidates filed to run against Charlene Hardin, a 12-year member of the board. In addition to Hardin, the candidates are Gloria Gaston, a substitute teacher in MPS; Michael Mathias, who works in the development office of the Medical College of Wisconsin; and Annie Woodward, a retired county employee. The four are seeking to represent a district that includes much of the north side.

I admit I don't know anything about the other candidates, but I can at least attest that Mike thought long and hard about whether he wanted to enter that snakepit, and whether he could make a difference.

Good luck to Mike in his campaign.
