Get some exercise

This weekend is the last weekend before the Spring election, and campaigns across the state will be making a final push. I thought I would mention a few races you might want to help:

Blogger Fred Dooley is running for Alderman in Racine. He could use your help tomorrow. He sends this note:
We'll be meeting at the palatial Dooley for Alderman campaign headquarters, (3433 Stratford Ave, Racine, WI 53402) at 9:30 to divvy up the territory. From there we will go out in teams of 2.

Last Saturday it took us about 2 hours, then we all went and had lunch together, a good time was had by all!
Fred recently announce a plan to toughen the laws in Racine on the placement of sexual predators in the community.

Meanwhile in New Berlin, Ron Seidl is taking on incumbent Alderman Paul Gallagher. Gallagher and his sidekick Linda Richter have engaged in some of the slimiest campaign tactics I have ever seen, smearing entire groups of people just to save Gallagher. Unfortunately this has been all too common in New Berlin's past, but it doesn't have to be part of New Berlin's future. Our friend Matt Thomas is running unopposed for the school board, but I'm sure either he or Ralph Heun of New Berlin CRG can tell you how to help this weekend.

Democracy, for good or for ill, often requires participation beyond just the voting booth. If you have time this weekend, help out a campaign. The fresh air will do you some good.

If there are other campaigns needing help this weekend, leave a note in the comments.
