Blogging may be light the next few days. If you were driving eastbound on State Street in Milwaukee this morning, the green Plymouth Neon smashed up against the sidewalk barrier post outside Miller Brewing was mine. Yes, I'm okay. (For those of you who weren't asking, screw you too.) My car was rear-ended when I tried to come to a stop when someone in front of me stopped. Her car drove me across the right lane into the post. A few aches here and there but no injuries.
Milwaukee's finest took a half-hour to arrive even though we were blocking two lanes of traffic. The officer who did arrive was polite and courteous and probably grateful I didn't gripe at him about the response time. I lost his pen.
We'll see what kind of rental car I end up in the next few days. In the meantime, the Neon has been towed to a city lot as a temporary measure until her insurance tells me where I can take the car to get it fixed. For a small donation I'll sell pictures... And to Miller, sorry I scratched the paint on your post.
