Little Nixon bankrolls organization he has nothing to do with

City of Pewaukee Mayor Jeff "Little Nixon" Nowak was caught as the main backer of a group, STOP, trying to save him from recall. He and his wife each contributed $600 to fund the organization, and are the only donors listed on the disclosure form. Another $150 in minor donations are from undisclosed donors.

The donations from the Nowaks came two days after "Little Nixon" Nowak denied having any involvement with the group. Postcards from STOP began to appear later that week.

It gets better. MK Litho Inc. was paid $1,324.15 to print and mail literature for the anti-recall group. Nowak owns MK Litho. I don't believe anything illegal occurred, but it stinks badly.

"Little Nixon" Nowak, you may remember, was previously caught trying to dig up dirt on political opponents by a records request to the police department. Those records somehow "mysteriously" disappeared from his office and found the mailbox of City of Pewaukee Alderman David Mokros, who then distributed it to the press.

Pewaukeeans for Better Government have turned in more than enough signatures for a recall of "Little Nixon". City of Pewaukee Clerk Kelly DeMotto is currently reviewing the signatures.

Oh, and one more thing. David of Carrick Bend Thoughts just might want to retract his offer of help to STOP. The last thing they need is free help.
