The state budget as originally proposed by Governor Doyle was ugly. I mean really ugly. Like Phyllis Diller ugly.
The compromise state budget must be even more ugly. We're talking Medusa ugly if they are not willing to take it out of the bag until the holiday weekend.
How ugly is this budget going to be? They're going to keep us in the dark because they know if the lights come on we will jump out of our skins. When the sun rises Tuesday morning, I wonder how many businesses will think the state budget is double coyote-ugly and chew off their own arms to escape.
