I'm all for clean water

John Hopf is hiking the Appalachian Trail to raise money for clean water. Instead of walking 2,200 miles, would he mind instead taking a hike along Hwy 18 to Lake Michigan? I know he wouldn't raise as much money, but if he could drag along a rather large garden hose and drop it into the lake near the Calatrava about 40,000 people would be really grateful.
