Black Power cocktails

Just discovered you won’t be invited to the Inaugural Ball? Did your congressman already sell your district’s allotment of tickets on Ebay? Are you going to have to watch the most important presidential inauguration since Abraham Lincoln from the comfort of your own living room? Or will the Holiday Season include the Inauguration of The One?

Not too early to plan ahead. In fact, you may want to buy your bar ingredients now before sales taxes and sin taxes drive you to drink. Or worse, drive you to drink something cheap. Here are a few drink suggestions:

For The Obama, what could be more appropriate than a Black Jesus?
2 oz Johnnie Walker® Black Label Scotch whisky
1 oz Jagermeister® herbal liqueur

Float the Johnnie Walker scotch over the Jagermeister, and serve.

Or, since every day will be Christmas under the new regime, might I suggest a Black Santa? Ho, ho, ho.

1 1/2 oz vodka
3/4 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
1/4 oz peppermint schnapps

Pour the vodka and Kahlua coffee liqueur into an old-fashioned glass half-filled with ice cubes. Add the peppermint schnapps, and serve.

Finally, for those of us who see the election of The Obama as the onset of Bolshevism in America, how about a Black Russian?
