The jury confirmed what the rest of us knew when it found Alaska Senator Ted Stevens guilty of lying about free gifts he received.
Of course, I'm sure the Democrats won't object if Republicans pull a New Jersey-style switch and suddenly name a candidate to replace Stevens. Right?
