Blogger city

The city of Waukesha continues it's dominance of the Cheddarsphere in bloggers per capita. Even the Mayor is finally in on the act. However, you have to sign the contract to read the Mayor's controversial words of wisdom:
Mayor's Blog Disclaimer

Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER

By clicking on the "I Agree" button below, I agree that I understand and am bound by the following conditions.

I Agree -- I Disagree

Under no circumstances should the content of this blog be attributed to any person other that the author unless expressly stated otherwise. The opinions and ideas expressed herein do not necessarily reflect the position of the Waukesha Common Council or any other governmental unit of the City of Waukesha. It is in the nature of Web sites, which are constantly changing, that information published may be out of date. In other words, you can't fight City Hall. But think about how useful this disclaimer is. Whenever Mayor Nelson speaks, the audience should sign a disclaimer to the effect:
1) The information herein contained may no longer be accurate.
2) The Mayor's opinion is solely his own.
3) All communication is strictly one way. He doesn't want to hear from you.

Now, those of us who have lived under the rule of Nelson may think the above conditions a bit of a distortion, but it's his disclaimer. Given his predecessor's behavior, you can see how the wording of the disclaimer came to be.

The mayor's first post is up, and it is bound to be controversial. An excerpt:
Hello to the Great City of Waukesha! If you haven’t been to the website www.janboree.org go there right now to see the fantastic activities happening this weekend.
If anyone gets too cold, I'm sure they'll let Mayor Nelson know via the Waukesha Freeman Sound Off section.
