Did Marie Rohde even contact the state treasurer's
office, the office in charge of enforcing the
regulation regarding abandoned property and the
holders of abandoned property turned over to the
state? What did our new (and inexperienced) State
Treasurer Dawn Marie Sass have to say?
Since it is clearly a state issue, a fact that any
bank would have told you and that your reporter
tripped over in the article, I'm surprised the story
ran without any comment from the relevant state
agency.
But hey, it's not as fun of a story as Mr. Potter
taking an old woman's life savings, is it?
