One last drag

The Spring City Chronicle notes some states that are also enacting tougher smoking bans. I'm not a smoker, but there's going to be something in our culture forever lost when a man can't sit at the bar, eat fatty bar food and then light up a cigarette. Something will be lost in romance when a man won't be able to offer a lady a light of her cigarette. Something tangible will be lost in our culture when a man and a woman can no longer share a cigarette after, you know, sharing.

Just as something was lost when reporters stopped living on cigarettes and cheap coffee. Now it's probably Starbucks and energy bars. How depressing.
