Ridding ourselves of Coulter

In this week's column for the Waukesha Freeman, I wade into the whole issue of Ann Coulter.
Coulter’s defenders would argue that “the other side” gets away with saying offensive things all the time, why can’t one of ours? They point to the recent remarks of Bill Maher lamenting the vice president was not assassinated by terrorists, and how little coverage they’ve received. But the question to conservatives, if there is a double standard, wouldn’t we rather be held to the higher one?

And when those standards are consistently violated by Coulter, when she matches the political left offensive remark for offensive remark, when she consistently damages the conservative movement while building her career, how long will we continue to invite her to speak at our events? How long will we allow her to embarrass us?
I also look at the role played by a fellow Wisconsin blogger, Sean at the American Mind.
