The wit and wisdom of Bill Holcomb

We're starting a new feature here. When I first met my father-in-law, I referred to him as, "The Man of Few Words." But when he does offer his opinion, there's definitely no mistaking his intent. Often his words are punctuated by a well-timed puff on his cigar. From time to time we'll offer a few of his aphorisms.

About a wet patch on a property adjoining his property up north:

"They call it a nature pond. {A puff of the cigar.} It's a bog."
