Election results

Milwaukee Alderman Michael McGee took 64% of the vote, avoiding a run-off in the recall election. He called for an end to black-on-black violence.

There's going to be a lot of upset uppity white folks.

Meanwhile, Fox 6 Milwaukee is reporting with over 50% of the vote in, Linda Clifford has called Annette Ziegler to concede the election. My track record for predicting elections remains intact. Sometimes good things happen to good people. By the way, congratulations to campaign manager Mark Graul on the convincing win.

The Elmbrook school district shot down their referendum 61% to 39%. Are you paying attention Waukesha School Board?

Meanwhile, our condolences go out to Fred Dooley who was running for alderman in Racine. Racine's loss is the blogosphere's gain. More proof (as if it was needed) Racine residents deserve whatever high taxes they pay.

In Menomonee Falls, Jefferson Davis was defeated handily, sparing the Waukesha DA's office the need to go through his campaign books again. Since I can't resist, the last time someone named Jefferson Davis lost so badly, Atlanta was burned to the ground.
